- Barcode technology
- RFID technology
Luckily, Grey Trunk has the ability to work with both barcode and RFID. However, the hardware and types of tags needed will differ depending on the technology you choose. The Grey Trunk software pricing is the same for either RFID or barcode.

- Software
- Please review the Grey Trunk RFID pricing page for the monthly or yearly subscription cost. We only charge for the number of assets stored in the database. It is very simple pricing for the software.
- Bluetooth RFID Handheld Readers
- Grey Trunk is designed to work with two types of mobile RFID readers.
- Zebra RFD 8500 with no imager
- TSL 1128 with no imager

- RFID tags
- Grey Trunk carries a small amount of ready-to-use, preprinted and encoded RFID tags. The options available:
- Standard RFID tags for non-metal surfaces:
- 2"x1" size
- 4"x1" size
- Mount on Metal RFID tags
- 2.75" x .75" size
- Standard RFID tags for non-metal surfaces:

- Software

- There is NO additional piece of hardware needed to scan barcode asset tags with Grey Trunk. From the Grey Trunk mobile app installed on an iOS or Android device, you will utilize the device's camera to perform all of the barcode scanning.
