Set Up Depreciation for an Asset
In order to set up depreciation on a particular asset, the first step is to view your assets.
- On the mobile application, this can be done by clicking the drop-down menu within the upper-left corner and then selecting the "View Asset" option. From here, you will select the asset that you want to add depreciation to.
- Clicking on the asset will lead you to the "Asset Detail" page (see the instructions below for this step, which are the same for mobile and the website.
- From the website for Grey Trunk, there are two ways to view your assets.
The first method involves clicking on the blue "No. of Asset" button on your home page. This will lead you to a list of your current assets where you can click on the eye icon to view an asset.
The second method requires you to click on the "checkerboard" menu at the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Once you have clicked on this menu, select the "Assets" tab and then pick the "View Asset" option. This will lead you to a list of your current assets where you can click on the eye icon to view an asset.
After you have clicked on the eye icon to view the Asset Detail page, there will be tabs present at the bottom of the application on mobile and near the middle of the webpage on the website version. Click the Depreciation tab.
The depreciation menu will appear in which you can fill out the details of depreciation for a particular asset. Fill out the required fields (indicated with an *) along with any optional fields that are desired.
From here, you will click update on mobile or save on the desktop version to save the depreciation information that you have entered.
