Changing Asset Information in Asset Detail Page
Some of the information that is listed in the Asset Detail page will not be relevant to all users of Grey Trunk. Grey Trunk allows you to change the information that's visible when you view an asset.
To begin changing asset information in the asset detail page, first click on the "checkerboard" menu in the upper-right corner of the screen.
From this menu, you will open up the "Assets" tab and select the "View Asset" button to view your currently available assets.
- This will take you to the list of all of your currently available assets.
- Clicking on the eyeball icon will allow you to view an individual asset's details.
This will take you to the "Asset Detail" page in which you can view all of the things that are currently under "Asset Information."
To view and rearrange the asset fields under asset information, click on the "Setup" gear icon.
A screen titled "Setup Columns" will appear in which you can rearrange the columns.
Please note the following about this feature:
- Selected asset fields are shown with a checkmark next to the asset field's name.
- The asset fields of Description, Status, Category, Site, Location and Asset Tag ID must always be selected (so they are greyed out).
- To remove or add an asset field, click on the box to the left in order to remove or add a checkmark
- To change the position of an asset field, you can drag it up or down with your mouse cursor.
Once you have rearranged the asset fields in an order that you like, press the "Done" button to complete the process. The asset fields you have selected will be visible in all of your assets.
